Overview
A machining exercise in hitting tolerances: turn and mill a steel hammer head, fit a wooden handle, and produce two distinct striking faces — one steel, one soft plastic — from a process router.
Small parts leave little room for error. The project required the full sequence of setup, machining, and inspection.
What I did
- Precision machined a hammer with different faces to specified tolerances.
- Used CNC machinery to create a steel hammer head and a wooden handle.
- Produced one steel face and one soft plastic face from a process router.

Outcome
The finished hammer met the specified tolerances across the head, handle, and both faces.
