Overview
A molecular-biology project building a CRISPR protocol aimed at the ALDH gene pathway. The work centered on designing the right primers and verifying which genes — and which edits — were present.
The protocol moved from primer design through confirmation, with RNA proteins used as part of the workflow.
What I did
- Developed a CRISPR protocol to alter the speed of the ALDH gene pathway.
- Created DNA allele-specific primers to identify genes present and genes that had been altered.
- Worked with RNA proteins as part of the protocol.
Outcome
The protocol established a repeatable way to target and verify edits in the ALDH pathway, from primer design through confirmation.
